BLOOMLIFT · Website Cookies

Cookie Policy

A straightforward guide to the cookies and similar technologies that may be used when you browse and shop through our website.

Cookies help our website remember certain information, keep shopping features working and understand how the website is being used. This policy explains the main types of cookies that may be used on the website and how they work.

1. Overview

This Cookie Policy explains how cookies and similar technologies may be used when you visit and use the BLOOMLIFT website.

Some cookies are needed for basic website functions, while others may help remember preferences, support the shopping experience or provide general information about website performance.

The exact cookies in use can change as website features and supporting services are updated.

2. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when a website is visited. They allow the website to recognise a device or remember information from a previous visit.

Some cookies last only for the duration of a browsing session. Others remain on your device for a set period or until they are removed.

3. Essential cookies

Essential cookies support functions that are necessary for the website to operate properly.

Session cookies

These help maintain a visitor’s session while moving between pages and are generally removed when the browsing session ends.

Duration: Session

Security cookies

These may help support website security, protect forms and identify unusual or invalid requests.

Duration: Up to 12 months

Essential cookies generally cannot be disabled through ordinary cookie preference controls because doing so may prevent important website functions from working correctly.

4. Preference cookies

Preference cookies can remember choices made during a visit, such as selected website preferences or certain display settings.

Preference cookies

These cookies help the website remember selected preferences so that you do not always need to enter or select the same information again.

Duration: Up to 12 months

5. Analytics and performance cookies

Where analytics tools are enabled, cookies may be used to provide general information about how visitors use the website.

This can include information such as pages viewed, general browsing patterns, device type and approximate visit duration.

Analytics information helps us understand which parts of the website are useful and where the shopping experience could be improved.

Analytics cookies

These may help measure website usage and performance without being used as a replacement for information required to process an order.

Duration: Up to 24 months
Analytics cookies are only relevant where the corresponding analytics service is active on the website.

6. Shopping and checkout cookies

Because the website provides online shopping, certain cookies may be used to support the basket, checkout and related shopping functions.

  • Remembering items added to the shopping basket.
  • Maintaining checkout information during a shopping session.
  • Supporting account login and session functions.
  • Helping the website recognise an active shopping session.
  • Supporting basic checkout security and reliability.

Basket cookies

These help remember products placed in the shopping basket while you browse.

Duration: Up to 7 days

Checkout session cookies

These support the checkout process and help maintain the relevant session while an order is being placed.

Duration: Session

The actual duration of shopping-related cookies can vary depending on the website platform and supporting services used at the time.

7. How long cookies remain

Cookie duration depends on what a particular cookie is designed to do.

  • Session cookies are normally removed when the browser session ends.
  • Essential security cookies may remain for up to 12 months.
  • Preference cookies may remain for up to 12 months.
  • Analytics cookies may remain for up to 24 months where analytics services are enabled.
  • Shopping and basket cookies may remain for up to 7 days depending on the website function involved.

Cookies may also be removed earlier if you delete them through your browser or if the relevant website service replaces them.

8. Managing cookies

Most web browsers allow you to control or remove cookies through their settings.

You can usually choose to block cookies, remove existing cookies or receive a notification before a cookie is stored.

Please note that blocking certain cookies may affect shopping basket, checkout, account or other website functions.

Browser settings

Cookie controls can normally be found within the privacy, security or settings area of your web browser.

If a cookie preference tool is available on the website, you can also use the controls provided there to manage non-essential cookie choices.

9. Changes to this policy

This Cookie Policy may be updated from time to time when website features, technical services or cookie practices change.

The latest version will be made available on this page. Changes will apply from the time the updated policy is published on the website.

We aim to keep the information here clear and relevant to the way cookies are actually used on the website.
